F7 Emotional Freedom
Some may be more at home in the field of action, others with the heart, whilst others with the mind. No-one, however, can do entirely without any of these three.
The many different situations that life contains require responses which make use of action, emotion and knowledge. Not only are the realms essential for life, but they are also realms where we may discover freedom.
from R1600
Human life needs to be directed by knowledge as distinguished from mere opinion, belief or supposition.
F8 Knowledge and Freedom
We will consider many aspects of knowledge, seeking to understand how learning and applying knowledge can lead to greater freedom for ourselves and others.
The good use of knowledge is one of the main ways we can be of service to others. We will consider higher or spiritual knowledge, how we may know what is true reason, Plato's description of the soul, the characteristics of good reasoning, attachment to knowledge, universal knowledge, and the nature of truth, consciousness and bliss.
