What in truth is present and receiving knowledge from what is present. Presence of mind involves a consideration of the faculties of mind that are available to us. What does it mean to be really present, now? What is contained in the present? Can philosophy work at any other time than in the present? What are the powers and capabilities of a human being living in the present moment? What can be learned from the past to prepare for the future?
