Sunday 19 July 2009: 07H00
Programme

The Bhagwad Geeta or Song Divine is a sacred Hindu scripture which consists of a conversation between Krishna and Arjuna taking place on the battlefield before the start of a war.
The purpose remains that of spreading the awareness of the Holy Scripture to as many people as possible through the recital of the Bhagawad Geeta in Sanskrit, English and Vernacular (either in Gujerati, Tamil, Telugu or Hindi) verse by verse. The event concludes with the recital of the 700th verse.
This year marks the 10th recital. The recital has evolved beautifully over the last nine years. Over the years, more children have been participating in the recital, the youngest being three years old!
Workshops will also be held in order to highlight that the knowledge enshrined in the Bhagawad Geeta can be applied very practically in our daily lives. All participants in the Recital are also encouraged to attend and participate in this interactive workshop.
The recitals will take place on Sunday 19th July 2009 from 07h30 onwards at the Laxmi Narayan Mandir, 44 Kingfisher Street, Extension 1, Lenasia.
The Workshops will be held at 10h30 and again at 14h45.
LUNCH WILL BE SERVED
