(1) The amounts shown represent the cost per term.
(2) Fees are charged based on the running cost for each venue and differ according to the venue. Concessions are available for pensioners, scholars and secondary family members.

(3) Plato Studies consists of two 5 week modules run concurrently over 10 weeks. You may choose to take only one module at R375 or both modules at R750.

Other Activities for Philosophy Students

All students attending philosophy classes in Johannesburg are invited to join any of the following activities held at the Belgravia venue.


Abhinaya explores movement arising from stillness, and returning to stillness. Practices include simple walking, complex foot rhythms, story dances and devotional dances.
The arts and crafts group was formed in the School of Practical Philosophy in order to discover, in practice, the process of creation afresh.
Bliss is nourished by refined and pure sounds. Philosophers of all traditions advocate exposure to the finest, most harmonious music.
The ancient art of Drama as offered by the School of Practical Philosophy is directly related to the Teaching.
