The Structure of the Courses Offered
The calendar year is divided into three terms, January to April, May to August, and October to December. Each term consists of 12 School weeks,
separated by a break of 5 to 6 weeks. At the beginning of each term there are Introductory lectures for new students who want to know more about
the courses offered. Introductory lectures are free of charge.
Upon enrollment for the first term, the student will begin with a 10 week Foundation Course that also outlines some of the subjects and work that will follow.
The student will also be introduced to a stillness exercise that brings peace to the being.
The format of each term’s programme may be different for each branch of the school although the content and duration are generally the same.
After four terms, meditation is offered. Great importance is placed on Meditation since this is the main practice that leads the individual towards the
universal and also towards a deeper meaning in life. After the introduction of meditation, the philosophy courses explore deeper subjects. Some students
have been in the School for more than 30 years - and still learning!
Each group is led by a tutor. All tutors offer their services without remuneration and course fees paid by the students are used to run the centre where the
courses are offered. Tutors hold no particular, related academic qualification but are drawn from the student body after a suitable period of attending the
courses and who show a thorough understanding and daily practice of the Teaching.
